Well once again things have been busy. Sorry to all for not keeping this more up to date…but I will keep trying.

In December when Eric was on break, the plan was to relax until baby was about to arrive. Well that didn’t work out!!!. When I was relaxing and enjoying the quiet island someone else had other plans. I had been feeling baby very low in my pelvis and it felt like baby was pushing down daily. On December 14th my water broke while sitting at home. Eric quickly got things packed and we headed to the hospital down the road. The hospital in Saba is not equipped to accommodate premature births so we were air evacuated off of Saba to St. Maarten. We arrived in St. Maarten where they examined me and the plan was for me to be on bed rest till 37wks as I was not in labor. It was a very emotional time in St. Maarten and we were not enjoying the care we were receiving so we decided to fly back to Canada to have the baby since I was not in labor. Once we got back to Canada and to Saskatoon I was examined and a plan was made that I would be induced on the 22nd of December. Normally I would not have decided this as we could have waited till beginning of January or waited till labor started naturally, but this meant that Eric would not have been able to be there as he would have had to come back to Saba for school. We started the induction on the 22nd and had our beautiful baby girl Sairalyn Margaret on December 24th @ 1:25am.

| Christmas Eve baby |
We had a great Christmas with family. We were released from the hospital on the afternoon of the 25th and spent Christmas with everyone. Eric’s mom and Sister and our niece Sophie were able to make it to Saskatoon for a quick visit to see us, and the newest addition. It was great to see them and glad we got a little visit in. We wish we could have seen more people and more family but it was just a little to busy and crazy. I ended up staying in Canada for a month more with the kids at my parents place so that I could get documents for Sairalyn and everything else we needed. My mom helped me back in mid January with the girls and it was great to be back “home” to see Eric. Cally was very happy to see her Dad and play with her toys.

We had lots of fun as Grandma Lynn was here for a month to help out with the girls. It was great to have the extra hands in the house with Cally being so busy and needing attention also. We did walks and played and it was great to have family around. A few weeks later Rob and Lisa arrived for a visit on Saba and they enjoyed walking around and shopping and of course visiting. After Rob and Lisa left mom was here for a little bit longer and then she had to head home. A few weeks later my sister arrived for a visit and she also enjoyed playing with the girls and exploring the island. Since everyone has left it has been kind of lonely and crazy at sometimes but I am trying to get into a routine with the girls. We are looking forward to the next set of visitors who will be coming in April.

| Walk with Daddy |
Eric of course is very busy with school but the good news is he is at the halfway mark!! Whoo hoo! Eric spends lots of time at school and studying but he is doing great at making sure he has time for his family. Cally very much enjoys it when her dad gets home to play with her. We will all be very happy when we are done here but know there is a much bigger adventure ahead of us. I am busy with the girls and I don’t get out much. But hoping as Sairalyn gets bigger getting out will be easier. We spend s lot of time feeding which some days is very exhausting. Cally and I walk up to the school on Friday to play with Luca and visit with the sewing group. Cally has lots of fun playing with her little buddy and I look forward to taking her…..when I remember what day of the week it is!!!!
It is starting to get very warm here now. I think winter is over here and the hot weather about to come. Cally has been enjoying the weather and playing outside. She likes to play with a water bucket on the deck and yell at the goats from the porch. Most evenings Eric takes Cally for and walk, while I make supper or we go as a family after supper is done before Cally goes to bed. We are enjoying our time here and realize that we only have less than a year!
Well that is it from us for now……till the next time that I remember to keep up the blog!
